Pepperl+Fuchs Inductive sensors

Inductive sensors are electronic devices used to detect metal objects using non-contact detection methods. These sensors are widely used in many areas such as industrial automation, machine control and position sensing.

Inductive sensors produce an electromagnetic field with the help of an oscillator. When a metal object enters this field, Foucault currents (eddy currents) are formed inside the metal. These currents change the properties of the sensor's resonant circuit and the metal object is detected by detecting this change.
